Front brakes Rear brakes MOV' IT six FAQ Performance brakes for BMW M3 and CSL When the new M3 was tested by Auto Motor und Sport, they wrote about "the still insufficient brakes under race track conditions". Then Sportauto tested the M3 on the Nürburgring and surprised with a quite different comment: "the brakes are perfect under any conditions". Now the car was tested recently in France by the French Sportauto. Comment: The severe fault of the car is a lack of brake endurance in the case of often and heavy braking. BMW must correct this definitely. Same wrote the magazine Echappement. Comment: the brakes are absolutely insufficient. The reason is the heavy weight of the car and the still insufficient quality of the rotors. The stock rotor of the CSL looks very similiar but is completely different from the MOV'IT one: the friction ring of the stock one is much smaller and thinner. Also the ventilation system is quite different. While the stock caliper has one piston, the MOV'IT caliper front and rear has four piston each.
